And I think I've read somewhere that some species of herbivorous tortoises are so well adapted to eating plant life in their surrounding that they do not do well base on what is available in captivity. I think that's where these commercial food, like Mazuri tortoise chow, comes in handy. They seem to perk up after eating Mazuri chow.
