"That brings in constitutional issues that cannot be superseded by a state legislature.”

"A hands-off approach by the Legislature likewise was advocated by Delegate Daniel Hall, D-Wyoming. "

“As long as someone is doing this by their own choice, not being forced to participate, then government should stay out of it.”

If he were in the Senate today and an anti-snake handling bill were on the calendar, he adds, “I would vote to leave it as it is.”

So why is it that when it comes to what we do, (and mostly with harmless and nonvenomous reptiles in the privacy of our own homes, I might add), our "constitutional issues", and personal choices do not seem to matter, and the government never seems to take "a hands-off approach" and "stay out of it" and can't seem to ever "leave it as it is"?
