it's a great chance to help obtain data so that real science may be used in the study of herps
Jeff, I've already brought up the idea to you, and am going to work on a basic survey form to distribute at registration. It will be anonymous reporting of numbers and types of animals seen, their status (AOR, DOR, etc) and disposition (photographed and released, collected, salvaged, etc). I hope to aggregate all the data and write it up, probably in the SWCHR Bulletin so it'll be out there as a reference.
Given the anticipated number of participants this will be a tremendous opportunity to better understand population distribution, movement patterns, and so on for a variety of species, especially if sustained for every future Snake Days event.  ----- Chris McMartin www.mcmartinville.com
