Once in CA I saw a Nightsnake laying in the road with a trail of ants going over it. It didn't have any visible injury but I assumed it had been clipped, died and found by ants. Then I touched it and it quickly reacted by crawling away. So I figure the line of ants was already there and the nightsnake had just accidentally crawled into it and was in the process of being bitten when I found it. Makes me wonder if the ants have some kind of paralyzing venom? [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
