Has anyone had experience with eggs that had to be surgically removed? My burmese python laid some eggs then got bound. We tried all the usual stuff before finally having to have surgery. This was done 9 days after the others were laid. We removed 20 eggs of which 14 look like good eggs. My question is, what are the odds of them being viable after that much time. Also, is it possible the embryos would have adhered like they do after being laid? I candled the eggs and 3 of them have dark spots inside the eggs. Problem is, during surgery, they were removed and put in a container before being moved to the incubation box, so there is no way to know which way was up. Should I move the eggs with the dark spots so that those spots are on the bottom? They have been out 8 - 12 hours now.
