Posted by: Corpsb6 at Thu Jul 5 20:59:36 2012 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Corpsb6 ] I had my first clutch of Saharan Uromastyx eggs hatch after two unsuccessful attempts. This was my first success in three tries. Fourteen eggs were laid on April 26th with seven successfully hatching starting on June 27th. One egg went bad about one month into the incubation period, three died while hatching or shortly after, and three have not hatched, although they don't look bad. The incubation temperature was about 90 degrees. It was really neat to watch them hatch out. I can't believe how long the hatching process took. Most took a day or to to. I am very grateful to Doug Dix for his advice on incubating the eggs. I know they probably would not have survived if I hadn't got his input. Hopefully, the photo of a few of them will be attached to this (this is the first time I have posted anything). I wanted to get them all in the photo but I had to keep cropping the photo to meet size requirements. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
