I believe this corn is possessing the extra ingredient used to make corals/salmons. It's also het for Strawberry, Motley, and Amel.
My friend Jim Stelpflug at SW Wisconsin Reptiles gave me this animal a few years back. Jim is the originator of the corals/salmons corns, as well as the strawberry corns.
It's been determined from outcrossing that the coral/salmons are strawberry and anery (plus amel for the snows), but all the ones "built from scratch" just don't look the same. Selective breeding has been attributed to the difference, but from my own experience and what others are reporting I think there's a dominate/co-dominate gene at play.
