hey bob,

would of talked to u more at hamburg but u were too sweaty and disgusting j/k! with my limited breeding experience with easterns, i don't understand why people still incubate them at high temps even though it's well known optimum incubation temps start at 74 ish and increases to about 79-80 before hatching. you get much larger, robust babies and less skeletal deformities. keep humidity high with good air circulation and no soggy areas. i just incubated my eggs on the bottom shelf in my snake facility. they sat on home depot play sand and the container was lined with sphagnum. humidity was always 99% and to keep the humidity high i would spray the sphagnum (NOT the eggs). there were lots of holes in the container for air circulation. in the beginning, i was trying to find a shelf with proper temps and temps fluctuated wildly (low of 72, high of 80) for about a day. in the end of incubation i also had a day or two when the temps went up to 85 before i caught it. none of the babies came out kinked.
