Well he hasn't slowed down a all with his desire to have a thanksgiving feast for every meal. I gave him a small rat 3 days ago and after he finished he looked at me and gave me that "Okay dad I am ready for the next one" stare, and then he had that "what the crap are you doing we are not done here" look after I walked away haha!
His prolapse has gotten slightly smaller thankfully! I have been doing the powdered sugar soak and dabbing treatments and also using polysporin on it when we get done with soaking so that it stays moist. I switched him to newspaper rather than aspen because the aspen pieces were getting stuck to the prolapse area and that was no good at all. After a few spilled water bowl cleanups, and new non spill doggy water dish, and having to caulk inside the cage to keep urine and water from leaking out the edges, things are smoothing out and he seems settled and content again in there. I have a vet lined up that I will be taking him to as well for the next step in the process here. I am selling my hatchling speckled rattlesnake this weekend to raise funds to pay for things. Sad to see the little guy go but it's for the best I feel.
We also saw an improvement with our dog, he finally got up on his own this past week for the first time. Granted it took him several tries, but he is almost consistently able to stand up by himself now. There are a couple failed attempts each time and lots of wobbles, but he at least knows now that if he keeps trying he can do it, and that there is a very tasty treat for him once he does it Still unsure that he is out of the woods completely, he still has poor body weight, and his nose issue none of the vets can tell us anything on without us going to a very expensive specialist and even they may not be able to tell us once we pay them thousands of dollars. So we wait right now and hope for improvement there. He is not suffering by any means dont get me wrong, he is fighting to recover and that's all we can ask

The very existence of flamethrowers means that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves..."You know, I really want to set those people over there on fire...but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."
