I just got back from Israel. What a BEAUTIFUL country! There are gorgeous beaches, semi-arid areas, deserts, mountains, and lakes. Wherever we went, I was always on the lookout for herps. At one area we stopped, there were a bunch of promising boards to be flipped, which I did. All I found was a bunch of ugly spiders
The one herp we saw in abundance was Laudakia stellio. They liked to hang out on the walls of ancient structures, rock walls, and in recessed windows. This image, for some reason, wants to hang out on the BOTTOM of this post, so scroll down to the bottom to see it, right after the doves.

We managed to catch several neonates, which were very cute.
