There seems to be a bit of mid body bloating in a female western hog this season. At first, I assumed it to be developing eggs. When she did not lay well past her due date, the swelling remained. I became a bit concerned, However she is functioning normally; shedding and eating. I assume it is some type of bug. My question, I guess is, could this be something that will resolve itself, or is vet intervention necessary. Has anyone else had any type of experience with this? To be on the safe side, I think I will just go the panacur and flagyl route. I guess I answered my own question, but if others have had a similar experience I would appreciate some insight.
Thanks
Mark
