BUT.... if you gift someone an indigo it does not require an interstate commerce permit. Just make sure the gifting party documents on paper that this is solely a gift. Linking any easterns back to their original interstate commerce permit number is also helpful in case FWS comes knocking. Although FWS would like to be informed of all gifts, I did not see any specific requirement on the interstate commerce permit application that specified this. Hope this help Bob.
