Hi, The problem with me is, I build a facility for monitors, So the cages I use, and normally they are not confined to a cage, but a series of cages. And the fact, that I am a exhibitats builder, means, what I do is not normally available to most people.

Normally I would raise them in one type of cage, then move them to another as they grow you and place them in any one of several larger cages depending on what was avalable at the time.

With argus, the breeding cage was normally one that had deep substrate, which most of my cages have.

These cages can be from indoor 6 foot troughs, not anywhere big enough for adult argus, but great for ackies.

To indoor/outdoor cages with ten foot runs outside with deep dirt, some have large (4 x 5') water tanks. To 6 foot circle cages, to 6' by 10' cages, and lastly a large 20 x 20' by 10 high cage. The large cage was the best, but impossible to find eggs in.

Recently, I began a tree monitor project and showed the cage setup from the begining. These cages are like most people do, specific for that species. I built two cages, one holds a trio and the other holds a pair. These are on Utube, under my name. Go have a look.

They are just not starting to get busy now. We are seeing our first breeding attempts (yesterday) I will be editing some vids today. Cheers
