breeding season winding down

January 5, 2013. Chris Dossena generously loaned one of his male Eastern indigos for breeding with Alison. Both snakes hatched out here. She shed yesterday and I introduced him into her cage this morning. This pair also apparently mated early last month. They are a very nice red-throat pair and should produce fine hatchlings. Other Easterns here began breeding in late October.
