Help with mites

I ordered some wild caught flying geckos.I know they will most likely have mites.IF not thats a bonus..Unfortunately I also ordered some Halmahera geckos as well.So if there are mites on the one then being in the same box I will need to treat all the animals.
What do you use for sensitive animals like geckos.
Ive used lice bedding spray on the cages for snakes. I dont treat the snakes directly except to wash them off.But it has worked well in the past.
My worry is animals that would lick water off the cage walls if they were sprayed..I know some people use vegetable oil on the flyers but that sounds very ineffective to me.
