A question about an almost unknown skink-species which has - as far as I know - only kept and bred in one collection.
I mean the Razo Island Skink ( Chioninia stangeri ) which has been kept and bred at the Cincinnati Zoo. At the moment they seems to have left only one specimen but in the 1990-ties it should have been bred several times.
I would be intrested to know how the Cincinnati Zoo got the breeding stock of these animals, howmany they have bred ( in 1990 there were 6 young ) and if any young have been placed in other collections. Also it would be intresting to know if this species lais eggs ( incubation-time ) or get live young and any other information about the keeping of this species would be of great intrest.
I've already e-mailed the Cincinnati Zoo but sofar they didn't responded, so maybe some of you can help me !?
