...and proud of it!!

Last fall I decided to embark on a journey of learning and discovery to create a unique Christmas gift for the love of my life... who is a big nerd too. I decided I was going to create Loki's Scepter from the Avengers movie.

Being I knew nothing of working with resins and creating molds... I spent over a month doing nothing but research and planning. Once I was confident I could pull it off, I bought the materials.

After a month of blood, sweat, and tears (literally!), it was finally completed. It was very difficult to keep quiet about it so as not to ruin the surprise, but it was worth it! Needless to say the gift was a hit.

We have yet to get pics of him holding this in his Loki costume, but hopefully we can do that soon. Since I made a mold, in theory I could make lots more of these... but I got so burned out on this one I haven't yet. Likely will sometime soon though.
