About every week, my male 2011' black milksnake ("Midnight" for those who name their pets) is given a small thawed out rat. Then, after about 5 days, he does his business in either one of two corners of his terrarium. He is super consistent, and the housing is a piece of cake to clean. He has never soiled his large water bowl either.

I use a large paper towel soaked in alcohol to spot clean the area, and then use another alcohol soaked paper towel to make sure the area is fully clean. I use aspen bedding, and change it about every 2-3 months, after cleaning the entire inside with alcohol.

I heard that some sub species of milksnakes are messy... Is my snake an exception, or do you too have "housebroken" milksnakes?
