The leucistic gene was around long before the patternless. You can,thru a combination of genes, have something that appears to look like a leucistic animal but is actually patternless as well as axanthic and albino and or hypo. I'm not exactly sure of the combination. Leucistic does not guarantee you patternless. Breed it to a multi het animal and be sure. Hope this helps. Good luck.
