Hi,
I recently purchased a water monitor at a reptile show near me about 3 week ago. After I got it home I put a mixture of sand and soil in the tank. After a few days I noticed that one of his eyes was always closed I thought it may have been due to the sand, so I removed the sand soil and use reptile carpet instead. My problem occured a few days later I noticed that now both of his eyes are closed most of the time and the only time they are really open is when he goes in the water. He has been defecating up until about 3 days ago. I'm really starting to become worried I have no idea what to do and would appreciate ny help. By the way his eyes are not crusty, if anything there sometimes seems to be almost a clear liquid coming from them but very miniscule amounts.
