I have been discussing things with my business partner and we are interested in getting into small scale breeding. He has experience with constrictors and myself with a few genus of lizards. I've only kept same sex pairs or singles of herps.

My favorite genus is Varanus, but what I am looking for to get started with is a species that is not too common to find, (no igs, savs or bearded) has some demand for hatchlings and is viable for pet trade (ie most people could care for them and find food for them) and lastly one that needs breeders for it due to too high percentages of WC species being taken.

Thanks
