Trying to understand something. Maybe someone can help me out.



Been talking to Dan Felice about his nice normal looking OK Bulls which I think would be nice for outbreeding my favorite Ginter Stillwater hypo animals. I love the Ginter animals and Dans normal looking OK Bulls have been the closest I've ever seen to what I think the hypo Stillwater animals would look like without the recessive trait.





Dan also mentioned he has a Stillwater x Crumbley female from his pair of Stillwater x Crumbley pair that is about to lay eggs.







This is a pic I believe of a 2012 or a 2011 baby produced by Dan.







What I'm trying to understand is, wouldn't the above adult Stillwater x Crumbley animal be recessive for the hypo Stillwater gene so that the babies they produce would grow up to be much brighter than the adult animal pictured because they would actually "display" the Stillwater hypo gene?
