Yes. I've seen where folks have deliberately placed a snake in a high traffic area. Seems kind of cruel from a certain perspective but gets the snake acclimated. I think I saw a post once where Dan Felice did that with something on the high strung side. I've seen it at times in petshops in malls where Ribbon snakes and other nervous species just got so used to things they mellowed out instead of crashing into the glass.
