It is in the process of swallowing a fish, probably a bluegill, and then after having eaten the fish. I have had people tell me it is a copperhead, and a bull snake. The photo was not taken in high enough resolution to zoom in to see head detail (eyes, etc.). I was not told how long they believed the snake to be.
