>>Ok, a couple questions about Cali king snake/ milk snake hybrids. >>First, can any California king be crossed with any milk? >>and would any king/milk combination produce some variation of Imperial or does it have to be banana x pueblan? >> >>Also, do they need to be switched out like some of the other hybrids? Or can they just be put together? >> >>thanks!
I would imagine most milks when bred to a cal king will produce viable young. The Imperial pueblan is 75% Pueblan and 25% Cal King so no, not any milk and cal king would be an Imperial. People have crossed Sinaloan Milks with Cal King and call them Sincals. Your best bet for making a successful hybrid breeding is to have a pair of each of the snakes you want to cross that way the male can smell the female of the same species and then be switched over to the back of the non same species and hopefully lock up. ----- www.mesozoicreptiles.com
