Interesting note. I have been hiking Florida forests for years. I come across pines more so today than I did 10 years ago. I'm in Duval County. I also come across Indigos on a pretty regular basis. I usually see these soon after a prescribed burn. I would say though the way Florida is heading , growth and the massive increase of wild hogs I have no doubt they will go the way of the Florida Kingsnake. A snake that has declined so low aside from the ANF I never come across. Pines are still here and in numbers in some areas. This I hope lasts.
