These animals need WHOLE prey (mice, chicks, fish,insects,.... whatever, but the whole animal as food) or they get nutritional deficiencies and imbalances over time. While I am obviously joking that he's hissing at the cooked eggs, I am not joking about the long-term effects of that diet on a Monitor lizard -adding bone meal or a multivitamin doesn't cover it.
