I'm not 100% sure of anything. Right now it's just a fitting descriptive name, even if it is a double homozygous hypo white side. I suppose I could give them some trick marketing name like "Amittyville Ghost". HA!
Regardless, they're not going anywhere so I can do some test breeding with them (probably along with a couple of other hypos that will stay here). The composition of phenotypes within the clutch makes fair sense with the what would be expected when breeding the triple hets together without any amelanism present. So I'm leaning more towards last years pair lucking out (actually I'd rather the albino weren't in there) and being het for albino (quad het) and the second pair being triple het.
Did you seen Rainshadows pic below of the red-eyed ghost that he got from Jonel? It's supposed to be from a stillwater hypo as well, so it makes some sense and lends a little credence to the theory. You could very well be right about one or all of your theories though. Hard to say. All I know is that I've got a cool new pair of snakes that I'm going to enjoy for years to come. I'll feed the male well and breed him back to grandma (pure stillwater hypo)and mom and see what comes out. I've got a generic ghost that I'll breed the female to in a few years and see what comes out there. Time will tell.
