Stressed out turtle

My friend's turtle is stressed out from the move and she wants to make it easier for him and help him calm down-but she's unsure what to do.

She tried leaving him alone and seeing if that worked, but it didn't. He hasn't eaten for a couple days, unless she puts the food right in his face and he looks a little dehydrated.
She tried putting a trail of food out to see if that would work, but it didn't

Can anyone help me? How can I help? My experience at most is my sister tortoise and he's pretty laid back.
