Garter snake tub question for...

The Garter snake guys.
I want to keep some Rubber Boas in a CB70 ARS rack space I have. I'm thinking I need to figure out how to shim the channels so the tub Just glides in and out without leaving a gap that babies could wriggle through. I'm thinking I would probably cut a piece of plexiglass to place over the top to cover the vent holes and hold it down firmly with rare earth magnets in the ARS rack and then drill smaller holes in the tub itself for ventilation. I don't want to make and permanent mods to the nice rack. Otherwise I've kept them in 2' visions with a single removable pane to keep babies from wriggling through the sliders.

I figure if there's any folks out there that have modified tubs to prevent little baby snakes from escaping its you Guys!

Thanks for any ideas or pics you may have. A rack space would make maintenance so much easier.
