Hey Frank,
Ive been keeping snakes for 20 years and breeding snakes now for 15 years. I remember when you first opened the ranch, and I certainly remember what you have contributed to this hobby. I even remember when reptiles did a spotlight on you and the ranch (I still have the issue matter of fact). There is no questioning the fact that you pioneered monitor breeding, and are the reason we have some of the animals in captivity we do now.

That being said. You sometimes come off as abrasive. I personally like your position on most things, and understand your personality, as I too am considered abrasive sometimes. I think your opinion sometimes goes against the grain on how people are "trained" to take care of animals, but you are correct. People follow a cookie cutter outline on how to keep and breed these animals, and anyone that does something different is shunned, and looked at as someone that doesnt care for the animals.

I think the opposite of this. We cant properly care for these animals if we are not always looking for new ways of doing things. Nothing we do is perfect, regardless if you think the clutch of eggs your snake produced says otherwise. Included in looking for new ways of doing things, is questioning everything.

I for one look up to you, even if you havent been keeping hogs for long I think your experience and view on things is a much needed part of the forum. Your the only one posting anything interesting half the time. And people you know its interesting whether or not you agree with it.

Hey frank you got any t. orientalis babies over there?
Will Wohlers
