Had a fun day in the field yesterday. Many hogs and many snakes(I like all snakes)

One of the girls in situ. Observed 4 big girls.

This post is about homework, hahahahahahahahaha I often see their burrows and sometimes a series of burrows that are worked. But in most cases, its not easy to take decent pics. Hopefully, these will offer a good idea.

These and more, were around the base of a small bush. There were 11 holes in all. From the tracks, the snake went in and out and out and in, from hole to hole. Two weeks ago, I observed one of these areas and the hog popped out while I was standing them.

The female above was videoed and picked up for closeup pics. I then put her back exactly where she was, she crawled away in the opposite direction, then made a U turn and found the same path she was on and kept going. Hogs are amazing.

I observed two individuals with a recent large food bolus. A male and a female. The male gave me the food bolus, a Spadefoot toad. New to the site for me. I left the snake and the toad in one spot only to return in a few minutes and both were gone. hahahahahahahaha I hope it re-ate the toad. end part 1
