The first known striped corns were hatched in Europe in the mid 1980s from blotched parents. Some of these (and their parents) were later imported into the United States. As far as I know, a striped Corn Snake has not been found in the wild, though there are wild striped Gopher Snakes and other types of typically blotched snakes that occassionally are found with striped patterns.

Amel corns were being bred in the 1960s and became available to serious collectors in the 1970s. So they were in the hobby a decade or so prior to striped Corn Snakes.
