Hello All,
Good news for a change...
Interested Massachusetts stakeholders should plan on attending this hearing. This hearing is one of the last steps toward legalizing the keeping of Emerald tree boas, Green tree pythons, All Chameleon species and the Spiny-tailed monitor lizard (Ackie)in Massachusetts. The last step is the governor signing off on the new changes and then they become law. After that, these animals may be freely possessed, traded, bought and sold by both hobbyists and pet shops.
This is verbatim from the Ma. Division of Fisheries & Wildlife Newsletter, "MassWildlife News."
This is a public hearing on our regulation change issues regarding Green tree pythons, Emerald tree boas, Chameleons and Spiny-tailed monitor lizards.
I expect at least 100 reptile people showing up at this hearing in support of these changes. If all goes well, and it should, the Governor will sign it into law shortly thereafter.
