i have never kept cresteds or gargoyles, but a bunch of other geckos.

man, sorry to hear that! i house all mine separately unless breeding. i used to try and house small colonies of female leos together, but every once and awhile would have issues such as a female being dominant and another stressing. so... i personally just get separate enclosures for all my critters.

i have never had one eaten, but i had a female leo with a couple bite marks. that was when i got more cages

sounds like there might have been quite a difference in size. that might have been the main downfall. that probably wasn't the wisest thing to house them together. i hear the "they told me i could" thing all the time. that sucks! i learned a couple decades ago not to take 1 person's word for anything. i try doing a bunch of research before i get any new critters.

try googling cresteds or gargoyle. they are very popular and have a ton of care sheets out there for them.
