Posted by: OrangeHeterodon at Wed Sep 11 10:52:06 2013 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by OrangeHeterodon ] I went camping in Ochlockonee State Forest in the first week of August and found ribbon snakes that appeared to be eastern ribbon snakes but as the stripes went down the tales they faded out. I asked an educator at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge about it and he called it a Big Bend Ribbon Snake. I thought it could be a blue-stripe with all of the blue faded out, but as I found more I realized that none of them had any blue and that the stripe down the middle of the back disappeared about halfway down the body.
