Hey all. Today while waiting on my first college class of the week to start I was out looking for critters on campus and found a dehydrated, malnourished Heterodon platirhinos. I currently have it in a quarantine and gave it a 30 min soak. It is riddled with chiggers and as far as I can tell from a rather thorough search, has no mites. Hopefully the chiggers will be gone after a first shed and that will take care of that. What is the quickest way to fill it back up? I currently have a dead toad thawing out for it, can get more toads tonight, and I have it in a ExoTerra Breeder Box with a hide, water dish, and paper towels as substrate. It appears as though it has been without water for quite some time, should I soak it more today or wait till tomorrow? I don't want to stress it more than I must and it has already has a 30 min bath earlier. The cage is dry minus the water dish to keep humidity from going too high after a bath. Thanks for any advice anyone can contribute.
