Once I observed a Gravid C.willardi out in Late dec. at about 6300 ft elev. It was drinking water from a mostly frozen bit of water. It could move slowly but as soon as we disturbed it(we have too on that study) the snake went into convulsions, just slowly rolling over and over, like a slow hog.
