Very glad you are enjoying the book, Aaron. Yes, wasn't that insanely HUGE tangerine L.t.hondurensis something!??? Absolutely THE BIGGEST triangulum I've ever seen or heard of....period!

I have a couple pretty big one's that are well over 5 feet, but nothing I would consider a solid bloodline of huge monsters by any means. I recall Rob Haneisen having some big anerys and possibly amels that were in the 6 foot range.

That monster tangerine was acquired as a juvenile from Louie Porras and Joe Baraducci's "The Shed" back in the late 70s. It was obviously fed very well on a diet of rats up to the mid-90s when that photo was taken. No doubt that snake also had some excellent genetic predispostion for attaining a great length as well.......wow!

cheers, ~Doug
