More news from the state of Massachusetts.
The regulatory change I spoke of earlier has received a hearing and will be finalized into regulatory law by the first of this coming year. Green tree pythons, Emerald tree boas, all Chamaeleonidae and Varanus acanthurus and all its subspecies will become legal to own, possess and sell.
I had previously mentioned that I wanted to craft a bill to legislatively change these regulations but that became unnecessary.
S368, the IUCN bill has also received a hearing in the Joint Committee for Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture. I was not able to attend this meeting on 11-4-13 but did submit written testimony. The House and Senate is on break till the first of the year (naturally) and as of yet, I've heard no word on how the hearing went. >>
