Thanks for your help. In the enclosure there is no scooping him up at the moment and I don't try to get him. I have only had to do it the times he got loose which GRRRR, pissed that happened but the sliding doors have been fixed and lizard proofed. I think sometimes when I handfeed he bypasses the offered food and "tastes" nips my finger/hand. I have been nipped twice like this and I know they can miss the food if they grab too fast, maybe that's happened. I just can't seem to get past the holding food (not in the palm of my hand) or placing my hand by the bowl. I know it can be a long process but we have been working on it for a year or better now and this seems to be as far as we have gotten.
