Just picked up a few Extremes off Norm Damm & Bill Whitlock from their Extreme line they got going on in Northern Ohio. These Extremes are a little different from what I've been working with for the last 5 or 6 years. Basically, I have mostly Mike Falcons bloodline animals or what I believe to be descendants of his line. There banding tends to be platinum for the nicer males and females tend to be more Ultra-lights(Pretty Standard). For me the Falcon line platinum banding doesn't seem to change much as they age. If they don’t start out light banded they don’t change much with age. Now these new guys I picked up are a little more interesting. They can start out a little darker with the banding and as they mature turn almost green, olive or even silver similar to the Falcon line. They don’t photograph well in the basement but when you put adults side by side they look considerably different. I snapped a few cell phone pic over the last few months(Most are crappy pics) and thought I'd share them. I'd be interested to see what people think? Does this line appears to be slightly different or kind of standard for some of normal variation you might see when line breeding a small population. The more I think about it it might just be like the normal variations you see in different strains/lines of Amels or other hypos out there.
