CITY EVENING NEWS (?, China) 29 December 13 Pet turtles take turns to carry sick companion over harmful water
Several pet turtles brought the concept of friendship to another level by taking turns to piggyback a companion who suffered from a skin disease and needed to avoid contact with water.
The owner of the four little pet turtles, with the user named "Yaogunxiaotuzhuoma," explained she found one turtle was recently being carried on the others' backs.
"I found one turtle was always on the others' backs and stayed like that. Other turtles also seemed willing to carry it," said the owner.
The owner found the turtle suffered from ulcerate disease, a problem common to soft-shelled turtles. Other turtles carried it on their backs to avoid contact with water.
"Maybe its illness is due to the water quality and it needed to keep the wound from touching the water. The turtles are good at self-healing," said the owner.
The owner said she bought the four turtles six years ago and they have always gotten along well.
