Do not offer any more food until, say, early February. Continue to give him peace and do not disturb him until then. Just fresh water every couple days. Some pits are pretty high strung animals and just take a while to acclimate. Once he settles down and feels confident in his new dwellings, he will really put away the food and grow like crazy.
