I think it's because most everyone's box turtles are hibernating. My turtle garden was covered with two feet of snow and now that it finally melted we are expecting 8 more inches by tomorrow night. I have 5 inside for the Winter in planted vivariums. Four that are too young to go out and one that someone gave me that was a mess and lived in a box for 5 years, with no humidity, lights and just ate lettuce and tomatoes. Sad, especially when there is a world of information out there now, and most everyone has a computer or smart phone to research on.
