First your female must have ovum in order for any copulations to be meaningful. That is, once she produces ovum and they enlarge, she will then emit pheromones and she will cloacal gape. That is when everything becomes meaningful. Until then, the male is just being a male hog and hoping and praying she cycles. Its all good. Best wishes
