Went looking for herps, found this

Was out inspecting areas in Palos Verdes, CA a few days after a big rain. It is a bit early in this area typically to find snakes on the crawl but never too early to survey spots to check later.

Found this nice sample of the mineral Dolomite, and a good sized exposed vein.
