I have a 1 year old baby and a 3 year old BRB. Up to this point the BRB has been in a glass tank with fitted plexiglass lid to retain moisture, which is held down by a heavy wooden lid with crossbars to prevent the snake lifting it and bungee cords securing the upper wooden lid to the wooden tank stand. Obviously nothing in this setup is padlockable. We've always been concerned about the snake himself escaping, but now we have a curious little human around and we need to be able to lock him in to keep her from getting at him.

I've been looking around the internet for some kind of padlockable setup but haven't really found anything other than various clips. We really want something heavy duty with a lock and key or combination lock. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to lock a snake in securely? We wouldn't mind buying a new setup but some kind of DIY instructions for something would be helpful.
