I believe it is the Field Guide to Western Reptiles and Amphibians by Stebbins/Peterson (or is it the Eastern and Central guide that enters Mexico??) that shows a beautiful Mexican rosyboa. That snake is actually a roadkill, just hardly damaged outwardly. Look at the mouth on it.
