Grendel was produced by Robert Bruce. I purchased him from his original owner with the name Grendel...he is named after the Grendel in John Gardner's novel, which retells the story of Beowulf from Grendel's point of view.



I discovered drys about twelve years ago when someone was generous enough to let me spend a few minutes holding one at the Sacramento reptile expo. This year, I'm bringing him to the expo with me and hoping to pass that favor along to someone new. (Though it will be a little funny, I think, hanging out with Grendel at a booth full of corn snakes!)
